Jones has overseen the design on several Louis Vuitton Outlet impressive men's accessories collections over the past few seasons, but in the past, the emphasis has generally been on leather or Damier, Vuitton's less flashy signature print. This collection does feature a new take on Damier Graphite, one with graphic rope detailing that Louis Vuitton Handbags pays tribute to late designer and artist Christopher Nemeth.
The unexpected star of the handbag show is monogram, though, and it makes its appearance in fairly straightforward ways: simply shaped bags and accessories that, on first glance, appear quite similar to bags Vuitton has made for decades. Many have contrasting trim or edge paint, though, and some come with collection-specific zipper pulls. Check out all the accessory photos below; you can expect these bags to hit stores in about six months.
I was thinking about brands that are popular but that I don't cover that much anymore, and Louis Vuitton came to mind. Like many others, my first high-end designer bag was from the brand, and it was the tiny Wapity Clutch (which I still own and still adore). Louis Vuitton Luggage Over the years, I picked up a few limited edition pieces, but I started to pull away from the brand and toward others.
Louis Vuitton is most known for its monogram canvas, and while it has tried to distance itself from some of its most popular bags, it seems the people have spoken and Monogram may be making a comeback for the brand in a decidedly up-market way. The first monogram bag I've liked from the brand in quite a while is the Louis Vuitton Pallas.
The majority of the Pallas bag is the Monogram canvas, but the interior of the bag has colored calf leather peeking out, giving it a very distinctive look. There's a smaller crossbody version, the Pallas BB, which is, of course, the version I like best. The interior is more luxe than other LV bags, Louis Vuitton Shoes with microfiber lining. The price is also much higher, which seems to be the norm for LV in general now. There isn't much more to this bag; it's a great size, it has an adjustable shoulder strap, and it's all about the Monogram.
It's amazing how quickly Nicolas Ghesquiere has changed the aesthetic at Louis Vuitton. It's one thing to come in to a globally recognized brand after the decade-and-a-half tenure of a legend like Marc Jacobs and put together your own collection with your own quirks; it's quite another to do that in a way that the industry buys into whole-heartedly, as it seems to with Ghesquiere's Vuitton.
Ghesquiere has already Louis Vuitton Sunglasses established the core of his handbag line, and that's mainly what you'll find in these lookbook images of Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2015, alongside a couple of 70s-style refreshes on the iconic Alma. The bags are good in the way that Ghesquiere has been good all along--they're casual and true to the brand, but they feel nothing at all like what came before them during the Jacobs era. |
