MyCareer Free Agency When you've reached a certain level in MyCareer, it is possible to influence your team's free-agency choices. The MyPlayer can pick five targets to be open for agency which the front office can strive to acquire. This is a new aspect and an incentive for MyCareer's gruelling grind. The period of free agency is absurd. The reality that five of the players chosen will be joining your team in free agency is not explained. It doesn't matter what salary cap you have. In my most recent save, Jayson Tatum and Brandon Ingram joined the Cleveland Cavaliers with contracts that were at their maximum. It was ridiculous and made it very simple to save in my second season in Cleveland. A free agency should operate differently. I love the idea of a MyPlayer meeting open agency targets during the moratorium and convincing the other players to sign up with their team. It is true that productive conversations increase the chances that a player will join the MyPlayer. The addition of a star player to the team can create more challenges and will be more rewarding.
