WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- In her first testimony to the Congress, U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen reiterated central bank's plan to taper its stimulus exit despite recent weakness in the economy.

GABORONE, June 20 (Xinhua) -- World football governing body FIFA has threatened to sanction Botswana for contravening its regulations by staging football tournaments under government's control, officials revealed Friday.

Speaking to Xinhua in an interview, Botswana Football Association (BFA) President Tebogo Sebego said the warning came following a fact finding mission by FIFA officers in the past few months.

He revealed that Botswana has been given until September 22 to rectify all the irregularities identified with the constituency tournaments or face hefty penalties from FIFA among them expulsion.

He said FIFA communicated with them that its investigations revealed that the constituency tournaments are causing severe damage to BFA sanctioned competitions and Botswana football in general.
