WINNIPEG - A Winnipeg judge has granted bail to a former Canadian Football League player charged in an alleged multimillion-dollar fraud scheme. David Lorne Pitcher, who is 46, can return to his home in B.C. pending his trial on charges relating to a Manitoba-based investigation. Pitcher applied for release late last week after being held in custody in Manitoba since his arrest last month in Vernon on several charges.
