In addition to titles from the World Aquatics Championships in 2011， 2013 and 2015， Shi also claimed the Diving World Cup title in 2013 and 2016.

The road has not always been easy. Due to extended and intensive training， Shi suffers from back pain caused by lumbar disc herniation. Despite this， Shi will participate in the National Games next year.

In Rio， Shi won gold in both the women's 3m springboard final and the 3m synchronized final.
