I didn't find this helped with my shower clogging problems. I did however note, that both my kitchen and bathroom sink pipes had to be replaced after both sprung holes on the elbows where these sticks would sit in the pipes. One had been replaced not long ago, so I have to wonder how safe these are for pipes. Buyer beware. I recently moved to a new apartment. I noticed a scent coming from the kitchen sink. I tried to get rid of it with hot water, baking soda, vinegar but that did not work. I then tried hot water and bleach and that didn't work. The Sani Sticks worked.
