The Chicago White Sox went 3-7 on their recent three city road trip  Blake Martinez Jersey , but general manager Rick Hahn isn't overly concerned.

Just 17 games into the season, Chicago is 7-10 and fourth place in the American League Central.

"We're all a little disappointed by how the road trip went. I mean, certainly, we didn't expect to go 3-7 on it," Hahn said. "There were some positives in terms of we were in essentially every game.

"Most of the season we've played some very close games. And we showed some resiliency and some fight after starting off 0-5 on that trip and to fight back from there was good to see.

"A couple of breaks here and there, a couple of key hits or a little better execution, and it could have been a winning trip given how close the games were  Lane Taylor Jersey ," Hahn said. "With just about 10 percent of the season played, I don't think you can draw any grand conclusions about where things sit right now."

Reggie Jackson confirmed that he got into an altercation with a fan outside a Cooperstown restaurant Friday night but denied a report that the encounter turned physical.

The New York Daily News reported that Jackson, in Cooperstown for the Baseball Hall of Fame's induction weekend, was involved in what appeared to be a "heated, physical confrontation" with an autograph seeker.

Already banned at three Major League stadiums, a bill will be introduced Friday that would make smokeless tobacco off limits at Citi Field, Yankee Stadium and other public arenas in New York City's five boroughs.

AT&T Park in San Francisco  Kenny Clark Jersey , Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and Fenway Park in Boston have already banned smokeless tobacco.

"If New York passes this bill, and I think it will, it moves us dramatically closer to the day when smokeless tobacco is prohibited in all major league cities," said Matthew Myers, the president of Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, a Washington advocacy group.

Jose Fernandez led the Marlins to a win over the Padres on Monday night, striking out 10 batters in the process.

Fernandez pitched a career-high eight innings and allowed just two hits.
